There was no way that she could describe it. The unshakeable feeling that she had been here before. Déjà vu they called it, but Sarah just knew that there was more to this than fantasy.
They were in the museum looking at paintings when the feeling began to erode into her mind. Sarah closed her eyes and let everything come into focus around her. It was a whole scene. The painting had hung in the living room of a place long forgotten. The people within were only memories.
Smiling at her husband and daughter, Sarah knew the history was repeating.

Nice capture of deja vu. It is such a strange feeling when it happens, and no one seems to have an explanation for it.

I don’t think there is an explanation. Maybe it is a glitch in the matrix, after all. Thanks for reading.

There’s a hint of an ominous tone which makes me worry for the new family 😦 Wonderful storytelling, Angie!

A little weird, and a lot clever! An excellent and totally different take.

love the deja vu feeling Angie – so often we lead a life we know we have walked down before, in tiny moments gathered and then remembered in a subconscious thought. I loved the feeling your story gave me, such peace in knowing a truth of the heart.
