Marius was showing his girlfriend around his large mansion for the first time. She was trailing after him as he pointed out things he thought were interesting. She knew he had money, but she had no idea that his life was lived in this kind of luxury.
Amanda was wide-eyed as she looked at the various pieces of art that was scattered around her. A broken statue caught her attention and she frowned at it in confusion. It just seemed so out of place in this splendour. “What is that?”
“Oh, just my father’s bust.”
“Surely you could get that repaired?” When Marius shook his head Amanda decided to continue with the questions. “Well, cleaned up at least.”
“I have left it there as a lesson to the old man. You see, he may have been the one to make me, but I was the one who broke him in stone form anyway. It would be most beneficial for our relationship if he did not try to cross me again. Next time it won’t be the stone that gets broken.”
As his eyes flashed in anger Amanda began to back away. “I don’t think we should see each other again.”
