FFfAW: Conservation

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Yinglan. Thank you Yinglan!

The gardeners working in the park had no choice but to fence off a solitary tree. It seemed like it was a favourite spot for a dog toilet when they were walked here every day. The tree was going to die if they did not try to stop this happening. The only way that this could be achieved was to build a structure of chicken wire to deny the dogs access.

However, Phil, the softy of the group, couldnโ€™t help but feel bad when he noticed the dogs standing on the other side of fence staring at the tree.

โ€œI never thought I would see a disappointed dog,โ€ he muttered as he reached instinctively towards the wire cutters.

And that was the day he was sacked.

  1. Aw, cute but also funny. The dog missed his favourite place to wee so he cut the wire fence and lost his job. Poor guy, too big of a heart for dogs I guess. But I understand him at the same time. Nice write ๐Ÿ™‚
