It feels strange referring to this as a book, because in reality it is little more that than a scene. I don’t know what I was expecting really, something a little bit risque maybe? What I got there was the story of a teaching assistant called Lynn, and a professor called Simon Foster. It is pretty much a story of pretty boy meets pretty girl, and they instantly connect and start touching each other up.
This is the start of a series, so obviously it leaves on a bit of a cliffhanger. It ends after she basically calls him a stalker, and a manipulator of feelings (after she gives in to her emotions and sleeps with him), and then walks in the next day hoping that he will have forgotten this. Instead she discovers that she no longer has a job and she leaves him in the room.
Her best friend is Bobbi, who is the one that put the idea that he was somehow taking advantage into her head. She has a roommate called Sonja, who turns out to be nothing like the girls that Lynn has seemed to have assumed she was.
It all moves a little bit too quickly to be believable, or interesting. It definitely did not come across as a risky storyline involving professor and student.
There is nothing really wrong with the writing style of this book, but it is too short to be able to judge properly. The story itself did not interest me enough to go by the rest of the series, so I think that I will be leaving that one alone.
I gave this and overall mark of 3/5 star’s. As I said, there is nothing wrong with the writing style, and it was a very easy read. However, it just did not keep my interest.
